Chanel Spring-Summer 2011 Haute Couture was held last January 25th at the Pavillon Cambon-Capucines in Paris. I know I’m a tad bit late posting this, but better late than never, right? Chanel is like the most-coveted Haute Couture for me and it’s only right to post about this.
One notable thing about the Chanel SS11 show is that the models were all wearing FLATS! They must be too darn happy for this – no slipping, sliding or falling on the runway! Guess I’ll be seeing a ton of black pointed flats in stores soon! Expect other brands to follow. We know how Papa Karl is a big influence in the fashion scene. Remember the clogs from last time? Who would have known clogs would be brought back to life?
Now on to other things. We’re seeing a lot of sleek /skinny /straight-cut trousers even under dresses and skirts. And notice the use of sash (flowy fabric belts) in a lot of outfits? At the same time, we continue to embrace the modest cut skirts – knee high, mid calf and maxi ones. I’m actually loving the shiny shimmering flowy fabrics towards the end of the show. How about you?
