{Beauty} Clarisonic Aria Sonic Skin Cleansing

Last Saturday, I attended the fully-packed Nordstrom Beauty Trend Show! It was an amazing experience for me as it was my first time! Most, if not all of the beauty brands carried by Nordstrom participated and offered complimentary services and loads of freebies. But today, I’d like to focus on my new beauty tool that I purchased at the Beauty Trend Show, the Clarisonic Aria Sonic Skin Cleansing device!

For the longest time, I have been hearing rave reviews about the Clarisonic skin cleansing tool and have been eager to try it out. And as you can see in the box, the Aria is an Allure Best of Beauty Award Winner in 2012. Believe me, if Allure awards a product, it must be that good. I’m an Allure Beauty Insider and I totally believe in Allure’s credibility because they test thousands of products and narrow it down to the best of the best. And well, it’s not only them that I hear raving about the Clarisonic skin cleansing brush. I’ve heard hundreds of others – from beauty bloggers to beauty experts – who swear by this product. Some would even say that this has totally transformed their skin and upped their face game!

Thousands of dermatologists, aestheticians and spa professionals recommend Clarisonic sonic cleansing to their patients. Cleansing the skin more thoroughly removes impurities trapped in pores. Once those obstructions are removed, skin care products can absorb better – making skin much more receptive to moisturizers, serums and lotions!

Now if you think the brush is abrasive to your skin, think again. The beautiful and awesome Helen Miller, Clarisonic Southern Regional Manager, showed me how soft and light it is on my skin! My skin felt so good afterwards! I knew I had to get one. It wasn’t like my previous facial brush that I got several years back.

Back in Manila, when I was still in high school up to early college, I was more cautious of my skin than I am in the last couple of years. It would take me around 3 hours in the bathroom to shower, cleanse my face, etc. – and that doesn’t even include the dressing up part! I have regular facials in the spa (it’s pretty¬†affordable¬†back home) and would also do mini facials a few times a week at home. I would be using facial masks on a regular basis and would try out different skin care products I find at the beauty store. Oh I remember always visiting Beauty Bar and this other beauty/skin care store (which I can’t remember the name of) back in the Philippines. It would take me awhile to go through each aisle and I would end up with a basket-full or two, of beauty products to try at home!

As I grew older, I spent less and less time on beauty stores and taking care of my skin. I had lesser time to spare, I guess. Add to that the work-at-home part that makes me not do a complete morning routine because of the thought that no one will see me anyway, so why bother? But now that I’m embracing my 30s (oh dear), I’m realizing that this is the best time to spend more on taking care of my skin! Thankfully, it was like the Beauty Gods have pushed me and awakened the sleeping beauty-and-skin-care-conscious in me and at the same time exposed me to new beauty and skin care products like these! I gave in and invested in the Clarisonic Aria Sonic Skin Cleansing brush and I hope that in a few weeks, I’d be able to tell you that this was one of the best investments I made!

The Clarisonic Aria comes with three speeds as compared to the MIA that only has 2 speeds. This also comes with a cradle which serves as a drying stand and detachable charger! It includes the sensitive brush head but they also have different brush heads to offer, for different skin types and conditions (e.g. acne-prone skin).

The Aria box also comes with a USB charger (if you are traveling and need to charge it) and comes with a travel-size cleanser to get you started!

And because of the trend show, they gave away a free cosmetic bag and extra brush (worth $25) for every Clarisonic cleansing device bought. I also got a $20 off from attending the Beauty Trend Show! The Clarisonic Aria retails for $199, so I only paid $179 plus tax. And because Helen Miller is so awesome, she gave me an extra full size cleanser to enjoy! I’m a happy and satisfied customer already!

I’m sure this won’t be the last time you’ll hear me talking about Clarisonic. I’ll make sure to do a review after a few weeks of use so make sure to come back! But with all the great reviews floating around the interwebs, are you going to hold off on transforming your skin? I wouldn’t. You can get one here, at Clarisonic’s website or at your local department store. Xo.
