Packing for New York Fashion Week

Packing for New York Fashion Week has always been a tricky one especially if it’s during the Fall Collections. Why? #NYFW Fall Collections are held in February of each year. New York + February = blizzard. Well, that’s a bit of an exaggeration. In the last two Fall Shows I’ve been, I didn’t encounter any heavy snow or freezing rain. So hopefully, by the time you read this, I didn’t get into any winter weather trouble the last few days. I have scheduled this post ahead of time so I’d have content ready for you while I’m gone. Hopefully I didn’t jinx it. LOL! So that being said, it can be pretty difficult for someone like me who easily gets cold, to pack for NYFW in February. This means lots of layers and heavy coats. Here are the three outfits I packed for New York Fashion Week this month.

New York Fashion Week Look 1

One thing is for sure, I didn’t bring any stilettos. I don’t wanna be slipping and sliding, or walking like a duck in the middle of Lincoln Center (where the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is held). It’s all boots for sure – sensible ones that have a little bit of height. And to add a little touch of Spring, I brought one in a taupe color with a stacked wooden heel. I know I should be going with rubber heels to avoid any slippery situation but I am compromising already! Hahaha! I’m taking in more Spring elements with me for a fashion-forward look. I brought my Proenza Schouler linen PS1 bag and went with black and white stripes that are again big this Spring 2014. Get the look here:

New York Fashion Week Look 2

For my second NYFW outfit, I packed a pastel Spring look in Winter sweaters and cold weather accessories. Remember the Zamrie floral pants from their Spring 2014 Collection? It’s thick enough to keep me warm but I’m wearing thermal tights underneath for added protection. Paired it with the boucle sweater again but used my new coat from SheInside¬†which you will see soon. Since the coat has 3/4 sleeves, I wore long gloves and a chenille hat with it. Get the pants at Zamrie and the rest here:

New York Fashion Week Look 3

For the third outfit I packed for #NYFW, I’m wearing my new favorite polka dot dress courtesy of Joules as I mentioned here. Wearing thermal leggings, the fun faux fur stole and black tall boots to complete the look. Again, used my Proenza Schouler bag because I only brought 2 bags with me for a more efficient use of luggage space. You can get a similar look here:

That’s it for now ladies! I’m still out and have scheduled more posts for you throughout the week. Where am I heading? We were supposed to go to Mystic Falls! Yes, TVD fans will understand. But due to freezing rain conditions, we decided to head to the SUNSHINE STATE instead. Xo.

    1. Hi Lia! The PS1 bag is a really nice purse. This black and white triangle print is trendy and edgy. However if you’re looking for something classic, a plain one might be better.
