My Husband and I love to dine out as much as we can. Regular date nights are very important in a marriage because it nurtures your relationship, allowing you to focus on each other. If you don’t spend that much time together, couples can grow apart. People these days live busy lives. Setting aside time for each other creates a special space just for the two of you. Since my Husband and I share the love of seafood, particularly crabs, it was only right to go to Red Lobster for their Crabfest Event for a date night.

Red Lobster Crabfest is back! We went to the Monroeville location in Pennsylvania. It was packed even on a rainy Sunday afternoon! But it only took a few minutes before we were shown to our table.

Shelley, our server was phenomenal. She made suggestions while we were deciding what to get. Throughout our meal, she brought us refills before we could even ask, and just made sure our visit was memorable. She even offered to take our picture (below), and asked if we were celebrating a special occasion.

We started off with salad and unlimited Cheddar Bay biscuits. If you haven’t tried their biscuits, I’m telling you, you just have to go and taste it now! I usually don’t like biscuits because they can easily get dry. But Red Lobster’s biscuits are soft, moist and flavorful, I wanna go back for more! The Hubby agrees!

After finishing the salad and the bread, the main dishes came in next. We were sharing the two entrees. So our server just put them in the center and gave us extra plates before we could even ask! Now let me share with you what we ordered.

Alaska Bairdi Crab Legs Dinner

First up, we ordered the Alaska Bairdi (pronounced bear-dye) Crab Legs Dinner. It was a generous portion of premium, wild-caught Alaska Bairdi crab legs. The entree also came with a full ear of Chesapeake-grilled corn on the cob. Double Yum!

TIP: Don’t know how to crack crab legs the right way? Then let Chef Heidi teach you the right way to do it. Watch the video here.

Crab Lover’s Dream™

Now this is really a crab lover’s dream. Let me tell you why. It comes with wild-caught North American snow crab legs AND king crab legs! Salivating as I type right now. But it doesn’t stop from there. It also comes with Red Lobster’s signature crab linguini Alfredo. If you follow me on Snapchat or Instagram, then you’ve seen my videos enjoying the pasta. It was SOOOO good, guys. I swear! And the generous crab meat in the pasta just made the dish even more delicious!

Just look at that! Different types of crab – all in one plate. If you consider yourself to be a crab lover, then get your abundance of crab fix with this dish!

It also comes with your choice of side dish and I opted for their new Grilled Parmesan Corn with cilantro-lime butter. If you love Mexican food and have tried their street style corn, you’re going to love the burst of flavors in this cob.

Red Lobster Crabfest

For a limited time, Red Lobster is offering the largest variety of crab dishes ever offered on their menu. There are new crab preparations, new seafood combinations and four types of wild-caught crab.

  • Alaska Bairdi Crab: is larger in size than the traditional snow crab. It also has a sweeter and tender texture.
  • North American Snow Crab: is known for its trademark large clusters, snowy-white meat and sweet, delicate flavor.
  • King Crab: is the largest of Alaska’s three crab species. It’s prized for its HUGE leg meat, rich flavor and tender texture.
  • Blue Crab: is mostly used for crab cakes. It has a sweet flavor and softer texture.

Everything was just so wonderful and came in generous portions too. We ended up taking home lots of crabs – not that I’m complaining. We had a lovely meal at Red Lobster and was able to enjoy another lovely crab meal at home. The only thing missing was the New Rogue Wave drink!

Rogue Wave Drink

I was really looking forward to ordering their new Rogue Wave drink that mixes Sauza Gold tequila, blue curacao, house margarita mix, and a splash of ginger ale served on the rocks. Why? The Rogue Wave drink comes in a commemorative Red Lobster mason jar with the Deadliest Catch™ logo. Who watches the show?

But anyway, I wasn’t able to get one because it was so popular, they ran out! Now I’m definitely heading back just to get this! We’re planning to go back soon anyway, because we still have a gift card to use, and we really had a great time. So, cute jar: wait for me, okay? I’m already thinking of what to use you with – in the bar cart holding straws or maybe to display makeup brushes? The possibilities are endless.

Don’t forget: Visit the Red Lobster Crabfest website to learn more about how you can win dinner with Captain Sig of the Deadliest Catch™, and a tour of the Northwestern! Now wouldn’t that be fun?
