In case you don’t already know, we love to bike. Also, I like to do things in style. Haha! But seriously though, when I was choosing my bike, I wanted to get one that will make me happy – something that reflects my style. So it’s a double purpose, you know. It’s a form of workout/outdoor activity, but looking at it also makes me happy. And when it makes you happy, the more you’re inclined to do things, right?

With spring season upon us, we love to take our meals outside to enjoy the sunshine. After all, it’s the best time for picnics. Leaves are turning green. Flowers are blooming. And best of all, temperatures are climbing up, but still cool enough to enjoy outdoors. The best meals to pack are those that can be served at room temp. So today, I’m sharing a Spring Picnic-appropriate recipe, Turkey Chopped Salad with Dijon Mustard Vinaigrette.
When I was in college, my friends and I would hang out most of the time at a rental home shared by a couple of our friends. We named it Club 205 because the house number was 205, and “Club” was because it was where we hung out most of the time to save money. Instead of going to the latest club or bar, we’d go there. College budget. Also, because it was more relaxed. We would bring gin, and tonic or juice, sing karaoke, or play a friendly game of poker. Those were the days. So today, I thought why not recreate that drink and jazz it up? This one is a very berry gin and tonic, and THIS IS THE MAIN INGREDIENT that you’ll need.

Are you the cook in your family? I am. I love cooking meals for my loved ones. But sometimes, I run out of ideas on what to make. So every now and then, I’ll check out new recipes to try. The other day, I tested out this Chili with Chicken and Beans recipe from the kitchen of Martha Stewart Living. And you guys, this chili is the real deal. I’ve had my fair share of chili recipes from restaurants and other people’s homes, but this takes the cake. Below is the recipe.
Today, I’m sharing some entertaining ideas in preparation for IMSA Racing. In case you don’t already know, my husband and I are car enthusiasts. Back in college, we were already upgrading cars. He did drag racing and I enjoy watching. But hey, he taught me how to launch! After that, he moved on to circuit racing, but not as much as he would like. It’s a pretty expensive hobby. Since then though, he continues to tune his car and does it for other friends too. Aside from that, we also love to watch car racing. We even went to a couple of Formula 1 races and also did a NASCAR tour. So when we discovered IMSA Racing, we thought about following along.

Since the new year started, I’ve tried to stick to a healthier lifestyle. With recent events that have happened (finding out my father-in-law has cancer) and having the worst symptoms of my endometriosis last year (2016), it was only fitting to commit to a better me this 2017. But living a healthy lifestyle doesn’t end with the exercises you do, or the food and drink you take. It also involves everything that we come in contact with. Take for example, the cleaning products we use at home, or how we prepare or clean our food. Late last year, I started changing up our cleaning products to natural or organic alternatives. And now, I’m glad to switch to a better detergent as well, thanks to Rebel Green.
From an adult holiday dinner party, today we move to a kid’s birthday party. Any of your kids love Peppa Pig? A couple of weeks ago, we celebrated my goddaughter Alessandra’s 3rd birthday with a Peppa Pig Kiddie Party! It was so much fun for the kids especially because it was held at Kiddie Crusoe – 12,000 square feet of clean and safe bounce houses, themed play buildings, castle forts, rock climbs, zip line, tube slides, crawl tunnels, ball pit… the works. Of course, the adults had their after-party. But let’s focus on the kiddie party and how we decorated the place!
