NYFW SS16 Day 3 Outfit: Zaful

Zaful dress, washinton square, new york, NYFW, Fashion Week

Guys, I’m back to blogging about my New York Fashion Week SS16 outfits! For NYFW Day 3, I went with this sheer gray dress that Zaful had sent me. Since it was sheer, I knew it would be a perfect layer. If you follow me on Snapchat (add me if you haven’t, username: styleanthropy), then you may have seen me talk about this dress when I was packing. I brought two things to pair it with. It was either a little black dress (LBD) or crop and jeans underneath. I went with the latter.

NYFW Day 3 Look: SheInside Jumpsuit

SheInside, Jumpsuit, outfit, #ootd, #nyfw, #mbfw, new york, central park, new york fashion week

Today, I’m going back to my trip to New York during Fashion Week. I’m down to my last few posts for NYFW, so please bear with me. Life has been a little crazy hectic (and exciting), but I’ll try to finish all of my NYFW posts this week. So, on my 3rd day in New York, we woke up extra early in the morning to go to Central Park and take some photos of this beautiful jumpsuit that SheInside sent me. I gotta tell you, this jumpsuit is just so perfect. It imbibes effortless chic. It is well-made, super comfortable but looked so stylish too. It hides the previous night’s dinner and will make anyone look statuesque. Great qualities of a CLOSET KEEPER!

NYFW: Academy of Art University Spring 2015 Collection

Academy of Art University, AAU, New York Fashion Week, Spring 2015 Collection, Fashion Show, #NYFW, #MBFW

The Academy of Art University in San Francisco is the first school to produce a fashion show during the most prestigious Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York City (aka New York Fashion Week). Academy of Art University (AAU) has always been in my list of shows to see ever since I started going to NYFW in 2010. I love seeing the graduating fashion/design students showcase their work. To me, seeing someone achieve their dreams is such a beautiful thing to witness. So imagine seeing a couple of these graduate students’ works and then seeing them go down the runway to take their bow – such an inspiring moment!

So today, let me share with you the pieces that caught my eye last September 6, 2014 at the Academy of Art University Spring 2015 Collection. 12 talented designers showcased 5 individual collections and added in a collaborative menswear collection too. But among all of the 39 looks, I’ve rounded up my favorites here.

Above, I am IN LOVE with the intelligent mix of layering. The cuts, textures and silhouettes are just all so gorgeous and make an all neutral look not look boring at all. Below, I love the modern black, white and gray pieces with those duster cut coats. Again, great layering.

See above? That burgundy leather – love it. I would actually wear these pieces NOW for FALL season. Agree? I mean bordeaux colors and leather? It only makes sense to wear them during the BER months!

Below, these pieces are probably my most favorite of all and they are the most perfect pieces for Spring! The pants with the sheer panels are just so chic. The all white look in the middle, even paired with a white bandana and mirrored aviators? I feel like wearing it on a trip to St. Tropez! And then the third look with that beautifully cut blazer/short sleeve jacket mixed with that mesh/net-like dress is just so gorgeous and sexy without revealing too much skin. Great work to Szu Chi Huang!

Congratulations to all of the Academy of Art University designers. More power to all and good luck in your career. I hope to see more of you in the future. To view the complete collection from Academy of Art University, you can watch the whole show through the video below. Enjoy!

NYFW: HAZE Spring 2015 Collection

Haze Collection SS15, sunglasses, New York Fashion Week, #NYFW, #MBFW, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week

My second stop in NYC during New York Fashion Week SS15 Collections was the HAZE Collection Fashion Presentation and After-Party at the Hudson Hotel Rooftop. I shared with you my outfit for the night here. In case you’re not familiar with HAZE Collection, let me give you a brief introduction.

Since its inception in 2013, HAZE Collection has proven itself a heat-seeker in innovative eyewear. Even Rihanna is among those who own a pair.

At the core of HAZE is its commitment to creating product of the highest echelon. Each frame is cut from slabs of pure acetate, sourced firsthand in Italy. This means that no frame is identical; each marble nuance is almost personalized for the wearer. HAZE employs its patented pending SWIV3L™ engineering to styles; a three-pronged, metal hinge that ensures maximum durability.

For its designs, the HAZE team draws inspiration from architecture and its relationship with romance. While the frames rely heavily on structure and angle, they are juxtaposed against vivid mirrored lenses or, on its signature SHIELD model, a radiant magnetic gold grill. While each frame is built for function, the details make them anything but cold.

I SUPER love my HAZE Collection sunglasses in Tokyo Flare. Ever since receiving it in the mail, I’ve been wearing it non-stop. You may remember these photos from previous posts here in the blog and on my social media too. I love the tortoise frame that – believe it or not – goes well with almost anything and everything I wear. I love the oversized cat-eye frame that looks nice on my face shape. I can easily say it’s one of my most favorite sunglasses to date! Thank you so much HAZE!

HAZE Collection Spring 2015 Presentation

Now let’s get back to the HAZE Collection Spring 2015 Presentation and After-Party. I came in pretty late after coming from another event and going back to the hotel to change. So I’m just sharing with you official photos from HAZE Collection, taken by Giuliano Correia. Check out their new collection of sunglasses below. There’s definitely something for every personality – from classic styles to bold mesh ones.

I am in love with 2 pieces from the collection. If you can see the gold mesh one in the photo above, it’s the one on the right of the center of the triangle. I love how it’s a gold mesh – so bold and risqué. It’s definitely a show-stopper, but done with class. My second favorite is this gold mirrored cat-eye sunglasses in the photo below. Love it!

Thanks so much to HAZE Collection for my new favorite pair of sunglasses and for the invite to their SS15 Presentation. Please check out their website at www.hazecollection.com to find out more about the brand and to see their latest sunglasses. They are currently available in New York, China and online at Shop Des Createurs.
